BioMolliger are two kids that come from the East Coast of Australia (currently residing in Melbourne and Brisbane); and we plan to bring our booty-shaking to all of Australia, and the world. We live in a caravan with our parents who named us Andrew and Gwen. Once we were out hunting kangaroos and found a laptop on the side of the road with a keyboard, guitar and some singing voices and played around with them until some music appeared. Since that started in 2003 we have toured to along the east coast, camping out in sheds, penthouses and offices along the way. We've played with some people who told us that they were cool and famous, and that we share similar artistic aesthetics. And shit. They said their bands were called Kevin Blechdom (USA), Architecture In Helsinki, Max Tundra (UK), Candie Hank (Germany), Sekiden, Printed Circuit (UK), Curse Ov Dialect, Spod, Toxic Lipstick, The Fancy Boys, Justice Yeldham, Talkshow Boy, Gulpepsh (Japan) and Doddodo (Japan). We've also played at these totally awesome festivals - Straight Out Of Brisbane (2003, 2004, 2006), SOOBiesta (2004-06), and a This Is Not Art spin-off event (2005). We've just released a new EP called Mierenneuker independently - it's quite exciting. Mierenneuker (Dutch slang word for antfucker) is a solid representation of our live performance, with lots of energy and genre-hopping (from noisy glitch-pop to sardonic r'n'b to surf instrumentals, and so on). In 2004, we released a demo EP 'There's No N In Molliger' which is a little 5 tracker. We recorded it just before Andrew toured to Europe so it's a bit messy and we don't sell it anymore.
You can download some songs off our 'Mierenneuker' EP and listen to some hot new tracks recorded in Sydney in August 2006 at http://www.myspace.com/molliger.
